I believe the law recently changed that now allows up to 2 changes in investment choices in a 12 month period (not calendar year) for 529 plans. Is there a similar restriction for Coverdell accounts or are there different restrictions on the number of times you can change investment choices? Over what period of time? I would like to transfer funds from a Coverdell "stocks" account to a "money market" account and a laddered "CD" account (for distribution throughout the school year); does that qualify as my 2 investment changes for a 12-month period? For a Coverdell? For a 529? Thanks for all replies.
