Honestly I'm not sure why they single out med and law students.
That said, some medical and law schools require parent financial information when determining school financial aid awards, so if you do not include this information you may be foregoing aid depending on the school. So it's a good idea to reach out to the school and ask them how they award aid to determine the pros and cons of completing the FAFSA with and without parental info.
