I guess I wasn't clear on my questions.
1) What is your idea of the "overall market". You just said it would go up, what is it, not what will it do. You said that the S&P wasn't an indicator of the "overall market" as far as stocks go. My question what, as far as stocks, is the overall market in your opinion.
2) Give me an example of what you consider a conservative stock or fund, not what they will do. You keep saying the S&P isn't conservative, yet you haven't stated what conservative is.
Also we were talking about stocks and stock funds, or at least I have been stating that in my posts, and you keep throwing out there that you have to be balanced. I haven't argued that fact at all, my whole premise has been and continues to be that you can get 10+% conservatively in the stock market.
So my other question was, what stock / stock fund did not follow the trend S&P during '00-'02 that would be considered conservative?
