Can I use 529 for fees and costs associated with professional board examination

Can my daughter use funds from her 529 to pay for board exam fees. She is going to school for dental hygieneand the fees to take the exam are quite a bit
National Dental Hygiene Board exam - $450
FL state clinical NERB exam - $1000
misc. exam testing fees - $100
Review course - $500
FL state license application - $200

Are any of these eligible for reimbursement?

You can use 529 funds to pay for anything you want. The question is, will the earnings portion of a 529 distribution avoid income tax (and a likely 10% tax penalty) if the distribution is used for a certain purpose. For fees and costs associated with a professional board examination, the answer is almost certainly "no," unless taking the exam is required for enrollment or attendance at an eligible educational institution, and even then I think it might be questionable.
