Hi I’m a resident of Costa Rica. I was wondering if I would be able to open a 529 plan to fund my graduate education in the U.S. I’m completely international and have a U.S VISA.
You must be a U.S. citizen or resident alien with a U.S. Social Security number or U.S. federal Taxpayer Identification Number to open a 529 account.
