Lost education savings account

My father opened an education savings account with Salomon Smith Barney (SSB) in 2002 for my daughter who is now college age. Of course, SSB is no longer around. I have called Morgan Stanley, which took over SSB, but they were not able to find the account. They recommended that I contact Citigroup; however, they are so large and I'm not sure what number/where to contact. Do you happen to know? Is there any other way that I can track down her lost Education Savings Account? By the way, my dad passed away two years ago, which is why I can't ask him about it. Thanks in advance for any help.

Do you have access to account statements or any other account paperwork? If so, how old is the most recent statement or correspondence that you have?

It's from 2002 when the account was opened. It's from Salomon Smith Barney.

You haven't been able to find anything related to the account in your father's possessions other than documentation relating to opening the account in 2002? Nothing in the intervening years prior to your father's death? No quarterly or annual account statements? Nothing?
