Ok, well we were going to wait a little longer but thanks to a few myths we are pregnant again (1: you can get pregnant when breast feeding, 2: the whole rythm birth control doesn't work, 3: it can take time to get pregnant) Anyway I degress.
I used to think there was no way I would qualify for FA, or rather my kids would not qualify because of me. However, I will now have two kids going to school one year apart and we will probably have our third two years after the second meaning that we'll have two kids in school for 3 years, three kids in school for 1 year, and one kid in school for 3 years. Unless we have twins somewhere in our 2nd or 3rd try (they do run in both our families). So I jumped on a FA calculator site. What I found puzzled me and made me think it was wrong. Here's what it looked like.
If two parents worked and made 100K total they got more money then if one parent worked and made 100K.
Income seemed to be much less detrimental to FA then savings is at a little over 100K.
Those two facts seem to be backward to me. So I was wondering if this site was just ... wrong?
Can you guys/gals give me some good sites on FA calculators? And am I correct in assuming that because we'll have multiple students in college at a time that will help a lot with FA?
