My daughter next year plans to live off campus. The lease is for the full year (12 months) starting either June 1st or August 1st. Can we play for the entire annual lease from her 529 although she is not planning to take summer session or only for months when the school is in session? If she only can expense those months when school is in session does it mean she also cannot expense part of January as her school spring semester usually starts around January 18? The amount of the lease is within what the school allows for room and board for off campus housing.
