Reimbursement for Apple computer with free headphones?

Daughter going off to college in a week. Bought a MacBook from Apple. It was their bundled student deal. This means she got the computer + free Beats headphones.

The order document shows the computer at $1400, less savings of $300, then the headphones at $300.

The receipt shows $1100 for the computer & $300 for the headphones.

How do I handle getting reimbursed here (Ohio 529 by the way)? Can I get the full $1400 or only the $1100 as broken out on the receipt?

Note that it's not possible to just buy the computer for $1100.

Yes, you can take the full $1400. Just keep the order document, the receipt, and any other documentation to support what you've done in the unlikely event that you're questioned about it.

Remember - the IRS is not out to make life difficult for anyone. So long as what you did makes sense and can be justified, there's really no reason to worry about it.
