After finishing college, and starting my career, what happens to my 529 Account

I am 21 and went to college for nursing. My grandmother made a 529 account for me when I was little, when she died it went into the hands of her sister (my great Aunt). Now that i have a job and no longer need college fund, what happens to it? Is there a way i can control it or transfer the money into something else like my account for other purposes or try and make my kids a 529 account and transfer it into theirs?

Who actually owns the account? Was it opened as a UTMA/custodial account where you are the legal owner and beneficiary? Or is it a "standard" 529 account with your great aunt as the owner and you named as the current beneficiary? This is the critical thing you need to know so that your questions can be answered.
