This summer, I'm planning on moving off campus and living in an apartment with my partner. The average apartment where I live will cost $1000/month, and my partner and I are splitting this cost, so my "room and board" will be around $500 a month-- much cheaper than the dorms. From what I understand, I have to take 6-8 credits to be half-time and to receive money from my grandparents' 529 plan they have for me. If I chose to take these 6-8 credits online, would I still be eligible for the 529 to pay for my room and board? Or do I have to take these classes in person?
